Cell Phones For Soldiers
We have begun receiving old cell phones from our employee. This program was started by Robbie and Brittany Berquist of Nowell, Massachussetts. For every old phone sent in to be recycled, AT&T will provide a one hour phone card for a soldier. We ask our employees to bring all their old cell phones to Human Resources. Not only is this a great way to give back to our troops, but it is a great green initiative as well. For more information please visit www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com.
Atlanta Tornado 2008
These Photo don’t even come close to realize the devastation left behind by tornado’s ripping through downtown Atlanta and Cabbagetown on Friday night. If you would like to help those who have been effected by this horrible event, go to the Red Cross or Salvation Army sites and see how you can contribute.
KASCON 22 @ Emory
We were proud to be a part of the 22nd Annual Korean American Student Conference (KASCON) at Emory University on Saturday. They were kind enough to serve us lunch before all of the propective candidates entered the Winship Ballroom where the event was held. To know more about this great conference, check out the YouTube Video below.
Dedicated Service
Today we had a very special celebration. As of March 12th, Dave D. has been with the company 6 years! The longest serving employee, besides our CEO and President of course. Not only has he earned a cake, certificate and gift card, but after 5 years with the company, he has received 3 weeks of paid vacation! Now that’s a great benefit.
Lost Bike
My oh my, what a sturdy bike. Yesterday, Sandra noticed something in the woods near our building. It just happened to be an abandoned little girls bike. We have decided to give it a warm home until we can find someone who might be interested in it. With a little sanding, paint, and wash, this bike will be good as new. We have posted the bike on Free Cycle, a great list-serve to belong to if you want to be more green. It is an initiative to stop putting unwanted items in the landfills, but rather give it away for free to others who could use it. If you haven’t signed on, you should right away!
