SATURDAY July 3

Phish at 7:30 p.m. July 3 and 4 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Alpharetta.

The Avondale Estates 4th of July Celebration at 10 a.m. Parade on Clarendon Avenue and fireworks at Lake Avondale.

City of Kennesaw’s Summer Concert Series  : a Bruce Springsteen tribute and fireworks. The show begins at 8 p.m. at the Historic Train Depot, Kennesaw

Stone Mountain Park’s 43rd annual Fantastic Fourth Celebration with laser show and fireworks. July 3-5. $10 dollar vehicle entry to the park.

Marietta’s Fourth in the Park parade begins at 10 a.m. Festival in Glover Park following the parade.

 Georgia Independence Day Festival and Fireworks starts at 3 p.m. at Nash Farm Park in Hampton.

SUNDAY July 4

The 2010 Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race starts 6:45 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

Fourth of July on the Square at the Decatur Courthouse Square.  Parade beings at 6 p.m., 7 p.m. concert with the Callanwolde Concert Band. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Conyers Fabulous 4th Festival at 5 p.m. in the Georgia International Horse ParkHoliday: The massive fireworks display is a big crowd pleaser at the Lenox Square Legendary Fourth. Kids activities begin at noon; music at 6 p.m.; fireworks at dusk (about 9:30 p.m.). Lenox Square,  Atlanta.

Centennial Olympic Park’s Fourth of July Celebration (will be crowded) Festival starts at noon, music at 5 p.m., fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

 Whatever you do this holiday weekend: be safe!  Don’t drink and drive!  And remember that texting and driving is now illegal in the state of Georgia!

July is Baked Beans Month, Blueberry Month, Fireworks Safety Month, Hitchhiking Month, Hot Dog Month, and Ice Cream Month. 

It makes sense because July 4^th marks the United States’ adoption of the Declaration of Independence and we celebrate with cookouts, fireworks, friends, and family.  (Okay, maybe Hitchhiker Month is a little random.  Unless you’ve made friends with a hitchhiker and s/he comes to your cookout.)

And it’s a big month for Apto Solutions too!  June 1 marks the start of the company’s 9^th year and the 9 year anniversary for CEO Jeff Jones and President James Kilkelly.

Today we recognized both our MVP for the Month of March, along with our Company MVP for Quarter 1 of 2010. We have changed things up a bit this year, by focusing on our Quarter results, hence why we no longer have Company MVP’s per month. We have also added a new benefit to the Quarter MVP winner. Along with a $50 gift card, they now have a reserved parking space. We also gave special recognition to our contract workers Donna Biddle, Brian Knowles, and Orlando Ingram.
